Organize course material and provide instruction to art therapy interns on clinical treatment issues including addictions, loss, trauma, abuse, illness, and disability with special client populations (children, adolescents, adults, and families). Provide group and on-site clinical supervision to art therapy interns. Provide therapeutic groups for children, adolescents, and families under contract with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Maintain records, provide student evaluations and course grades.

Provide therapy to individuals and groups of varying ages and abilities. Therapeutic issues addressed include: physical and sexual abuse; injury; trauma; disabilities; depression; personality disorders; anger; grief and loss; suicide; addictions; professional self-care; relationship and parenting difficulties. Facilitate experiential workshops, teach and supervise students, clinical presentations at conferences and community organizations. Maintain clinical notes and provide written assessments. Managed and delivered a mobile Intensive Day Treatment Program for women with substance abuse and mental health issues using art therapy and psycho-education. Program content included: relapse prevention; abusive and healthy relationships; physical and emotional trauma; grief and loss; depression; anger; assertiveness; self-esteem and sexuality. Responsible for intake assessment, program development, therapeutic intervention, psycho-education, program evaluation, marketing, budget management, hiring and supervision of assistants.

Worked therapeutically with individuals and groups using art therapy in various settings (910 clinical hours). Provided child protection and family support services through investigation and risk-assessment, development of intervention plans and integrated case management. Managed a program of Child/Youth Care Counselors providing time-limited, goal-based services to youth and families on a contract basis with the (former) Ministry of Social Services. Supervised sixty-five Child Care Counselors, a Teen Independent Living program and three preschool Family Programs. Facilitated case review meetings, staff development, and program development.

Provided learning experiences to "high-risk" children ages 2-5 with exceptional developmental, emotional and behavioural needs, in preschool settings within three East Vancouver Housing Projects. Assisted in development, preparation, and delivery of the programs. Worked individually and in groups with the children, and supported parents.

Provided goal-based supportive services to children, youth and their families through Ministry contract, including special needs children (deaf, mute, and physically disabled). Attended case conferences.

Evaluated a youth services interagency project. Designed evaluation packages for the Reconnect Program; Family Enhancement Program; and Purpose Alternative School for youth.

Designed, implemented and presented a follow-up project to evaluate the impact of alcohol and drug programs, and conducted an alcohol and drug youth services survey.
