My Art

I have enjoyed creating art in various mediums for 20 years. My emphasis is on the creative process and the flow, and is influenced by my love of dance. The focus of my art is on the human form and the soulfulness of the human condition. I am a trained Art Therapist and include the tenets of spontaneous expression my work.

Art as a Matter of Soul

My belief is that art is more than creativity it is an expression of soul. When we are moved by another’s art, it is because we see ourselves and momentarily share in the commonality of human experience. Art provides an opportunity for expression and self-reflection.

I received my art training in high school by a teacher who left an impression because of her belief in me as a person and as an artist. My work as a professional Art Therapist and survival of a car accident has renewed my desire to create and exhibit art. My exploration of the human form is reflective of my interest in the human psyche and my love of dance.

Respectfully,

Christine Lummis
